Sip on Protagonist beer straight from the source at our flagship 15-barrel brewery. Watch our pizza chefs toss dough into 28” pies. There’s plenty of room to spread out over 3 bars, a barrel room and heated outdoor patio. Come by, enjoy some beers and share a whole pie with friends.

Where Our Story Began
In the center of Charlotte’s NoDa arts district, the original Protagonist location is an R&D nano-brewery. Curious beer drinkers can taste from 20 taps and the Fridge of Curiosities, both of which feature Protagonist beers and a highly curated collection of our favorite craft beers from around the world. Beer cocktails, wine and snacks are also offered.
